Day 12--Lincoln, Nebraska

We started off with a trip to Lincoln's Children's Zoo.  We weren't too sure about it because we couldn't find very much information on it.  We were thrilled when we pulled up to find that it was actually very nice!  And to top it off, it was free since we're members of the NC Zoo!  There was a lot of shade which made it extremely pleasant.  Emma and Jake enjoyed looking at all the animals (as usual). It was a small zoo, so we were done in about 1 1/2 hours (which was also very nice!)

Then it was off to find some lunch.  We ate in downtown Lincoln at Gourmet Gyros.  It was delicious...and cheap!

After lunch, we walked around the corner to the Lincoln Children's Museum.  The kids had a ball--Emma especially enjoyed the Performing Arts Stage.  Lots of dress up and dancing.  Jake enjoyed the firetruck and the pizza restaurant.

There was a concert at the museum at 6:00, so we stayed to watch.  We only stayed for a half hour since the kids were exhausted, and it was extremely crowded!
